The Masses
Poet: Jade Terriss Talamo

Minute men’s screams reverberate deciding that the landscape needed to be re-
Decorated and bodies were the perfect ornaments for their picture

Opponents lie waiting
The red colored coat adding to the
Promise of rainbows we never received

Measure the masses, admittance
Make quotas on life spans
On an already decorated and rededicate, redivided and reduced landscape
bodies have no use

The glass smudges
again
redecorated by demands
drenched in the crucifix
That those bodies built
Digging an exit into the future
An entrance into a graveyard that held empty souls hands
And gave devils the rainbow we were promised

Minute men- Cerberus
Waiting at the gleaming gates of gold
Into a country that has already refined
The art of building a country out of someone else’s tapestries

And decided adding more red to the rainbow that weaves together hopes deception was the new definition of beauty.
