Jodie London Knowles

Jodie London Knowles is a spoken word poet, performance artist, and the mind behind Luminous Minds Project, advocating for equitable, trauma-informed arts education and creative spaces and healing justice. With 20+ years of experience, they have trained as an actor and director and was Seattle Poetry Slam organizer for 10+ years. Over the years they performed in living rooms, prisons, detention centers, bars, libraries, theatres to conference halls for audiences ranging from 2-2,000. They toured their nationally acclaimed one-person show, Learning Curve for two years that brought awareness to  Adverse Childhood Experiences, misdiagnosis, the overmedication of young minds, and unjust educational tracks that contribute to the school-to-prison pipeline. They witnessed art’s power to move audiences, motivate civic leaders, and challenge policies that place protocol above human needs. Described as “intuitively brilliant,” Knowles translates complex emotional and systemic patterns into accessible poetry. Rooted in humanistic philosophy, trauma-informed care, brain health and their own Human Revolution, they bring humor and discipline to a craft that honors identity, story, and self-expression, inviting people of all ages to create, connect, and change their minds with heART.
