Bugs
Poet: Jade Terriss Talamo, Age 13

Bugs
The bugs with their constant
Buzzing too noisy
Too annoying just
Crush them
Let them
Figure out how to get out of this
Of this windowless box
That I reside in
Let them
Solve their own problems
Let them
Find their`own dead
End
Why didn’t I just
open
A door
A window
A crack to guide
Those
Insignificant bugs
To safety ?
Because I didn’t have to?
Think about the outcome
Of such
A small creature?
Didn’t think
It would affect me
In any way
?
And yet
Every bug every
Butterfly every
Creature no matter
How easy to squish
Against
A wall is a part of existence
Right?
Every thing
Leaves
It’s mark
A stain
On life
On your existence
Because every
Thing is connected
So when you
squish Me

It leaves a taint on your wall
